Katerina Bohac Ceramist

Art Teacher

Muddy Hands Studio was founded by ceramic artist Katerina Bohac, whose work explores the relationship between nature, form, and human experience.

Katerina has worked with clay for many years, creating sculptural and functional pieces that combine traditional ceramic techniques with contemporary artistic expression. Her practice often incorporates natural textures, organic shapes, and subtle surface treatments that reflect her connection to landscape and memory.

As both an artist and educator, Katerina believes that ceramics has the power to bring people together. Clay is a material that invites patience, curiosity, and discovery. Teaching allows her to share that experience with others and create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and grow.

Through Muddy Hands Studio, Katerina aims to create a space where art, craftsmanship, and community meet — a place where anyone can experience the joy of transforming a simple piece of clay into something meaningful.

The Earthly Ritual: Handcrafted Expressions

Each piece in our featured collection is a study in texture and form. Hand-thrown in our Toronto studio, these stoneware vessels celebrate the intentional imperfections of the maker's hand, designed to elevate your daily environment with quiet, artisanal elegance.

Portfolio

Our work

Ceramic as a medium carries a timeless, almost primal connection to our shared human history. It has been used for millennia to document life, death, ritual, and myth. In continuing this tradition, my sculptures serve as both personal expressions and cultural artifacts—symbols of our era that speak to the universal need for empathy, recognition, and dialogue.
